Build the foundations for a new digital fan ecosystem
As Dropout grew from its CollegeHumor roots into a leading improv comedy streaming platform, its superfans demanded more ways to connect with the brand. At the same time, the business was constrained by legacy third-party platforms (Vimeo OTT, Shopify, Hubspot) that limited personalization, slowed marketing agility, and prevented Dropout from owning critical parts of its digital ecosystem. The challenge was to create new fan-first experiences while also building a scalable, flexible foundation for growth.

As Dropout grew from its CollegeHumor roots into a leading improv comedy streaming platform, its superfans demanded more ways to connect with the brand. Mondo Robot partnered with Dropout to reimagine both its fan engagement strategy and its digital infrastructure. Together, we delivered two cornerstone initiatives:
Superfan Hub: A custom editorial and community platform that connected Vimeo OTT, Shopify, and HubSpot to reward Dropout superfans with exclusive perks and deepen fan loyalty.
Marketing Site Migration: A migration from Vimeo OTT to a modern Prismic, Vercel, and GitHub stack that gave Dropout greater control, publishing agility, and stronger subscriber acquisition tools.

The heartbeat of the Superfan Hub is The Feed, a stream of exclusive content including BTS, editorials, photo galleries, games, merch, events, and spoilers. With constant additions, The Feed makes it easy to see what's new, find things of interest, and save favorites to your personal collection. It’s all powered by a custom Prismic CMS implementation that streamlines publishing workflows, self-organizes filters on the front end, and makes it easy for the content team to keep the firehose on.
